Originally incorporated as the Maitland Civic Center, the Venue on Lake Lily has, since 1965, been a Maitland-grown and Maitland-supported nonprofit with a single mission: to provide a place where our community can gather and enjoy public, private, and secular events — conveniently located in the heart of Central Florida.
We remain North Orlando and Maitland's premier events center, and quite possibly the only remaining community center of its kind in the nation. With a rich history of community engagement, the Venue is where neighbors come to celebrate, learn, socialize, and — most importantly — make lasting memories.
We are a non-government-owned, non-government-supported nonprofit that has thrived for decades, providing facilities for the civic, religious, literary, charitable, educational, social, and recreational interests of Maitland residents and businesses. All funds from venue rentals go directly to administering and maintaining this storied place where memories are made.
As with all places that enjoy rare tenure, the Venue continues its journey as a vital member of the community — always exploring new ways to serve its mission.
That mission is more than words. We donate 10% of all rentals to three organizations doing vital work across Central Florida — United Abolitionists, IDignity, and the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
